The Mozilla Foundation has released Firefox 13, the latest version of their free web browser. In addition to providing some new features and bug fixes, this release patches two critical security vulnerabilities that affect Windows. There are no security fixes for the Mac version of Firefox 13.
This release also marks the moment when Mozilla no longer provides security fixes for the older Firefox 3.6. Users who run this version of Firefox – currently some 9% of users – should upgrade to a more recent version of the browser to ensure that they get security updates.
