Adobe Also Releases Security Update for Acrobat and Acrobat Reader 8

Posted on by

In addition to releasing an update for Flash Player 9, Adobe has issued a security bulletin regarding issues with Acrobat 8 and Acrobat Reader 8. As this bulletin says, “Critical vulnerabilities have been identified in Adobe Reader and Acrobat 8.1.2 and earlier versions. These vulnerabilities would cause the application to crash and could potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system.”

Current versions of Acrobat and Acrobat Reader are version 9, but if you are still using version 8, you should update your software. If you are using Acrobat Reader, which is free, it is recommended that you update to version 9. You will find download links here.
