Apple Issues Snow Leopard Server Security Update

Posted on by

Following on last week’s Snow Leopard updates, Apple discovered a security vulnerability in the Mac OS X Server update and withdrew it from download. The company has quickly released a security update to fix this vulnerability, because of which, “On systems configured with Dovecot as a mail server, a user may receive mail that was intended for other users.”

Users can download this update via Software Update or here. The security update is not available alone; users who have applied the full 10.6.5 update will have to download and install it again. More information about the update can be found here.
