Available for computers running Mac OS X and other operating systems, these updates address &#8220;vulnerabilities in the software that could cause the application to crash and potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Following are the security bulletins Adobe released:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reader and Acrobat (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.adobe.com\/support\/security\/bulletins\/apsb12-16.html\" target=\"_blank\">APSB12-16<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Shockwave Player (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.adobe.com\/support\/security\/bulletins\/apsb12-17.html\" target=\"_blank\">APSB12-17<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Flash Player (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.adobe.com\/support\/security\/bulletins\/apsb12-18.html\" target=\"_blank\">APSB12-18<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Security updates for Adobe&rsquo;s Flash Player (version 11.3.300.271) patch a vulnerability (<a href=\"https:\/\/cve.mitre.org\/cgi-bin\/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2012-1535\">CVE-2012-1535<\/a>) which, &#8220;if exploited would allow malicious native-code to execute, potentially without a user being aware,&#8221; the company advised. Adobe fixed the bug after receiving reports that they are being <a href=\"http:\/\/arstechnica.com\/security\/2012\/08\/hackers-exploit-critical-security-bugs-in-adobe\">exploited in the wild<\/a> in limited but targeted attacks. Patches released for Adobe Reader and Acrobat also address critical vulnerabilities.<\/p>\n<p>Adobe advises users to install the updates as soon as possible.
