  4. I use Mac OS X 10.4.x (Tiger) and the installer from my Intego CD is not working.

Your CD is not Tiger compatible. To make your installer compatible with Tiger, please download and run the following application:
    http://www.intego.com/download/ISBFix.zip

Launch the application. When it is finished running, the following message will be displayed:

You can now use your CD installers.

IMPORTANT: During installation, click on "Check" when the following window appears:
(an active connection to the Internet is required PRIOR to click on the ‘check’ button)

  5. I can't update my Intego software.

You need the latest versions of NetUpdate. To update your Intego software, first begin by manually updating the Intego NetUpdate module. You will need to download the following file:

    http://www.intego.com/update/NUX10.3.2.dmg.hqx

    Click on 'continue'.
When the file is completely downloaded, click to launch the installer.
When installation is finished, launch NetUpdate and proceed with installing the update for your software.

  6. When I launch an Intego program, the program icon bounces on the dock and quits and/or a message about a daemon is pops up.

This type of error generally occurs:
    • when you install an old version of one of our programs in a recent version of the Mac OS X system.
    • when your Intego software is not correctly installed on your System

You must update your software via NetUpdate (you can access NetUpdate by going into the Apple menu / system preferences).
You will need to restart your computer after updating, then relaunch NetUpdate and apply all the checked updates until you see the message 'Your Intego software is up to date', as shown below.

    Note:
For Personal Antispam X3, you need to launch its assistant to complete the updating process.

  7. NetUpdate seems to work normally. It downloads the files, etc., but the following message appears:

Depending of the versions of our software installed on your Mac,
NetUpdate can encounter some difficulties when applying some updates.
Restart your computer and give it another try.
If this doesn't work, download the installer again using the link provided in your order confirmation or by our technical support staff.
If you still encounter problems and need to contact our technical support staff, please provide the following information.
    • Your name
    • Exact version of Mac OS X
    • Exact version of NetUpdate X
    • Name and exact version of the software you can't update
    • Your serial number for the software you can't update

  8. When I launch NetUpdate X, I see a message that the Intego daemon is not running.

As described in the screen message, restart your computer. If the problem remains after restart, then you may have to reinstall NetUpdate. Use this link to download NetUpdate

    http://www.integodownload.com/mac/X/NUX10.3.3.dmg.hqx

  9. When I check for updates in NetUpdate, there is a message saying 'Your Intego software is up to date' and NetUpdate X is displayed in black with all other available updates in grey (with ‘n/a’ in the ‘Expiration date’ column). I am unable to update my software.

Intego software protects your machine from the beginning of the startup process. To make this possible, your system uses Intego extensions. NetUpdate X checks that these extensions are installed before updating them.

If the extensions are not detected - which is always the case when you just drag and drop an Intego program from a backup application folder to a new one OR when you reinstall a fresh system using the ‘Archive and install’ feature of your Mac OS install CD - then the updating process is not possible.

You have to reinstall your Intego software(s) using :
    • the download link(s) provided in your order confirmation email OR
    • your Intego CD if you have one (see important information).

    Note:
NetBarrier X and Personal Backup X will run on Mac OS X up until ver. 10.2.8
If your computer uses a more recent version of Mac OS, you will have to upgrade to NetBarrier X3 and Personal Backup X3.

  10. After installing my Intego software and restarting my computer, a message about security settings shows up:

This message appears when you install Intego software from an installer that is not compatible with your Mac OS X version.
    Click on 'Fix'.

The following window will appear for each Intego program that needs to be fixed, and also for NetUpdate.

Click on 'Fix' and restart your computer.
After restarting, you will be able to use NetUpdate to update your Intego software.
