10.4 Versions Offer Mac Users New Features and Optimized Performance

London, October 27, 2005 - Intego, the Macintosh security specialist, today announced at MacExpo in London that it is shipping English and French versions of Intego VirusBarrier X4, the acclaimed antivirus program for Mac, and Intego Personal Backup X4, the solution for backing up and protecting your digital universe.

Downloadable versions of these programs are available immediately from the Intego website. The first packaged versions have been shipped to retailers, and will be progressively available from more than 1,000 retail shops worldwide. Intego has developed new packaging for its X4 series, combining a new design with eco-friendly materials.

German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish versions of Intego VirusBarrier X4 and Personal Backup X4 are scheduled to be released in November 2005.

Customers who recently purchased VirusBarrier X or Personal Backup X3 are eligible for free upgrades according to the following 45-day upgrade policy:

Customers who purchased on or after September 12, 2005 are eligible for a free upgrade upon request through January 27, 2006. Online customers need to provide their order no. and retail customers must provide proof of purchase. Requests should be sent to sales@intego.com or eurosales@intego.com.

Customers who are not eligible for free upgrades include those who purchased before September 12, customers with licenses for OEM software that was bundled with a hard drive or an Apple CPU, and customers who purchased under the MIPE offer in France.
