INTEGO PERSONAL ANTISPAM X3 WINS PRESTIGIOUS MACWORLD UK
EDITOR’S CHOICE AWARD Intego Personal Antispam X3:
Paris, France, May 23, 2005 - Intego, the Macintosh security specialist, has been awarded Macworld UK magazine’s 2005 Editor’s Choice award for its program Intego Personal Antispam X3 as the best consumer software of the year for Mac OS X. Intego is proud to receive this award, especially from such an exacting and knowledgeable jury, consisting of Macworld magazine’s editors. Intego Personal Antispam X3, which works in conjunction with Apple Mail and Microsoft Entourage to filter spam so users can keep their inboxes spam-free, is the first intelligent program for fighting spam on Mac OS X. Intego Personal Antispam X3 can learn from the spam users receive, and regular monthly updates to the program help keep their inboxes as spam-free as possible. “We are honored to receive this award for Intego Personal Antispam X3,” said Laurent Marteau, CEO, Intego, “We had a wonderful time at the awards ceremony, and enjoyed meeting with more than 400 movers and shakers of the Macintosh community who attended the ceremony. “The Macworld magazine UK awards ceremony, one of the largest and most prestigious such events in the world, was held in an excellent location and was attended by hundreds of representatives of companies whose products were nominated, including Adobe, Microsoft, Canon, HP, Roxio, LaCie, Griffin, and, of course Apple. We were delighted to meet other members of the Macintosh community, including our fellow software publishers, hardware vendors, distributors and resellers in such a friendly atmosphere. “While Intego won an award for Personal Antispam X3, the other products in the Consumer Software category - MovieWorks Deluxe 6.0, Photoshop Elements 3.0, Tune-Up for GarageBand, NoteBook 2.0 and Omni Graffle 3 - were just as deserving of recognition. While I was present to accept the award, it is important to point out that I represent a large group of people in Intego’s offices in the US, France and Japan, all of whom deserve thanks as well.” Pictures of the event can be found on this web page: www.intego.com/macworldawards2005/ The Macworld awards were held at the East Wintergarden in Canary Wharf, London, and was hosted by Macworld editor David Fanning.
