Google Pushes Out Huge Chrome Update Before Hacker Contest

Posted on March 1st, 2011 by

Just next week, the annual Pwn2Own hacking contest will be held at the CanSecWest security conference. Google, in preparation for the contest, has released an update to the company’s Chrome web browser, featuring 19 security fixes. Since Google has offered a $20,000 prize for hacking Chrome, it seems they want to make sure everything is as ship-shape as possible in advance of the contest.

Users can download the latest version of Chrome here, or launch the application to have it update itself automatically.
